I am a recent high school graduate and I was thinking of majoring in pharmacy. I was wondering if any Pharmacists out there could tell me if I should and could do it. I've had good grades throughout high school and I am willing to study in college. I want to enter a health care career, but I don't like needles very much. I thought pharmacy would be an excellent health care career and I could make competitive wages.
I'm looking for a career where I wouldn't have to own my own business, and could possibly work part time if I had children, but could make it on my own if I didn't get married. I also want a job that's going to be exciting and challenging. Is Pharmacy for me?

the equation is 2x^2-7x-4=0

There are two real distinct roots, I'm just not sure why

I know there's a chart of some kind telling when to use 1 or 2 real or imaginary roots, I just can't remeber it. Thanks

I have been working since I was 16 (I'm 20 now) so I already have a resume. However, being the oldest child in my family, I am a little confused about what I should try and add to it before I graduate university to ensure that I have a good chance at getting a relatively good job.

I'm a liberal arts major, so this even even more important for me! So far I volunteer on a crisis hotline, have a summer internship, am studying abroad for a semester, have been a teaching assistant, and I am going to be a writing/statistics tutor. (My GPA is very good, too, in case you were wondering- I also go to a major state university). Any suggestions?

I had previously posted this question, then closed it too early not knowing what I was doing. I'm placing my child in a preschool program that will teach him in Spanish for half the day. I don't speak Spanish. How can I support what he learns at school at home?

'm bored and there are no interesting discussions so i thought i would start one, but i can't think of anything interesting so heres some facts:

1) Penguins used to have the ability to fly but as the world got colder it became harder to do and eventually they stopped all together
2) football, the worlds most popular sport was invented by Sir Issac Newton
3) there's more vitamins in a culiflower than an orange
4) table tennis was orginally played by standing on a very large table and volleying the ball to each other, the idea was to avoid falling off at all costs even when confronted with a tough shot, the sport never took off in its home country of Sri Lanka, mainly because it was only ever played by 2 people but when they decided to stand on the floor and hit the ball across the table the common form of the game began
5) The largest single collection of teddy bears in the world was owned by Saddam Hussein until most were destroyed after the museum holding them was bombed
