Well I am the opposite to what is inferred to me having presence is a good thing, normally respect goes with it as well and shows you are confident and self assured.

Some actors have a presence but from a star quality so they sometimes give off an air of arrogance when in public so snobbery could be perceived in some cases, when in fact they are just trying to please without being intruded on personally ♥

Well that is according to how they say it. Where I live, having an air about you is not really a good thing. It usually means that you are a snob or think you are superior to others. On the other hand, having a presence about you is usually a good thing. It means that you carry yourself with respect and others hold you in high esteem.

It means that your personality is very pronounced. Some might not like the personality they see but when that person walks into the room you take note of him.
For instans Adolf Hitler had a strong presense. When he walked into a room people took note of him. He had an air about him.

sometimes it means that when you are around you influence the way people think and feel, it can be good or bad depending on circumstances- for example, someone feels safer when you are around, or someone feels threatened when you are around, ect.
