I think my 3.4 unweighted gpa is pretty low for their standards (that's with lots of AP classes)...I scored 2390 on the SAT & 800 on the physics, spanish, and math II SAT subject tests. I don't do many extracurriculars or necessarily "stand out" at my school..however, I did win some piano and art competitions, & I was semifinalist for the biology and math olympiad

My parents want me to get into Harvard but their acceptance rate is reaallly scaring me

I Plan on taking the LSATS in October. It is June now, and I opened the LSAT study guide and said to myself, "WOW, these questions are hard".... Anyone have a similar experience and end up doing well? I plan on studying/practicing at least 7-10 hours a week until then.

so yea i was thinking about learning piccolo for the summer, so i can join marching band next year in 8th grade, can ppl tell me....
1) is oboe a grl instrument?? im a guy..
2) is piccolo a instrument that normally appear in marching band?
3) does GUYZ play piccolo?
4) how much is a piccolo (i might not buy it tho xD)

okay the problem is I am working on an APA style term paper for U.S. History and after giving history and background about my topic I want to encourage people to do something and be active in their community..in order to do so I want to put a small phrase that a teacher tells me all the time actually there are 2..so the phrase as some simbolism to it. and at my conclusion I want to encourage people to do something..(Be activive in their community)...THE REAL QUESTION IS...ACCORDING TO APA STYLE FORMAT WRITING is it okay.. to put something personal such as "I" "me" "my"???

I would like tons of ideas - anything! Our homeschool co-op has 7 kids from ages 3 to 5. We are having an end of the year party and I bought t-shirts, paints & fabric markers for making fun tshirts together. I would like some ideas for something that the kids can do to make the tshirts special. I would love to do some sort of design where they can all contribute something. I have some tshirt transfers that I could use, but my color printing doesn't work very well so I can't do their pictures or something with color. A cute poem with them writing their names maybe? Something with handprints? Help, please!!!

My school is a very tough private high school in the US and I was told that that my school uses a different GPA scale. For example:

If a student gets an 85% in English class then when calculating his/her GPA it will be counted as 3.0, but in my school it will automatically be counted as a 3.5 instead of a 3.0.

What I'm asking is if this is correct and not something false someone at school told me. Do some prestigious private high schools use a different GPA system?

I am going to be a senior next year(high school). My GPA is 2.95 unweighted and 3.1 weighted. My ACT is 22, but I am retaking it again this saturday so I am hoping to do better. I have taken 2 AP classes this year and will take 2 more next year. I read on collegeview.com that the average freshman GPA is 2.74. Do you think I will have any trouble getting in?
