I dunno...there are so many, how many of us can imagine living without our vehicles (at least where I live in maine, life would practically cease without a car), cell phones, computers, internet and all that fun stuff?? I would have to say, as far as changing just about every aspect of life in a short period of time...the computer.

The use of these tools expanded man's ability to migrate, especially into cold, challenging, northern climes. .The immediate predecessor was the knife, but the knife could not be thrust from a safe distance, or thrown a good distance to secure the quarry (or assail the enemy).
