I am in the 11th grade and i want to get a half ride or full ride scholarship.This summer i am joining a good Swim club and they will help me with my freestyle stroke but i want to know what i have to do in order for a college to look at me? Ok first off, I am a junior and about to fail out of college. I mean I was put on Academic Probation last semester which means I need a 2.0 this semester to stay in the university I'm in and I'm afraid it's not going to happen. I have been working my butt off and I have not been to any party in all of my 3 years here. I am one of those people who takes me a very long time to understand something and I'm just losing hope. I mean if I do fail out of school, will other colleges accept me? Is there still a chance that I could have a good future? I'm losing all hope and I need some "survival" stories if anyone has any of their own or even a friend or family member that they know of?

Right now it's at 6.5 hours I think. Should school be extended to 8 hours? I'm thinking that the grand majority of families have 2 working parents. Most people work at least 8 hours a day which means the child sits in a daycare or with a babysitter the remainder of the day. Shouldn't we just extend the school day so they could spend that time learning? Maybe add more electives or extended class length? I for one think this is a fantastic idea. However, I feel that if it were implemented, then there should be no homework. That would be a little too much. I don't know of too many working adults (yes there are some) that take their work home with them. I think its too much to ask of our children.
