Since the difference is 30 feet, and a yard is 3 feet, the answer would be 10 yards.

There are 3 feet in a yard, so ......

Yards = Feet divided by 3

90 / 3 = yards between bases for the baseball diamond

60 / 3 = yards between bases for the softball diamond

Others have given the answers but now you know HOW to do it.
