My sister is studying accounting. She seems to study from the time she wakes up til the time she goes to bed. I keep telling her that she is studying too much. What is the appropriate amount of time for her to study. I think she is trying to absorb too much info and she is not doing nothing else as far as her life is concerned. HELP!! She needs a life outside of her books. How do I get her to chill out a lil bit and take a break from the books for a while? Also is there any tips for her so that she can better utilize her time so that she can absorb more info in a shorter period of time. Shes been out of school for a while as I have too, and we have forgotten the basic study skills...LOL

I have this teacher. She has been my teacher since 1st grade. She WAS really nice and people like her. Seventh grade is probably considered the hardest grade in my school and it is the grade that any problems might occur. So one day in 7th grade she was giving instructions and my friend, Katie, poked me. I poked her back and then my motherly other friend shot us a look and we stopped. We then got in trouble. We asked her nicely for an explanation, but she thought we were sassing her. Our school guidance counselor found our and we had to apologize. Then she continued by calling our parents, insulting our athletic abilities, disrespecting our personal confidentiality, and gossiping with all the teachers about it. This year (8th grade) she still has it out for my friend and me. We have gym every other day. I happen to like Spanish, the opposite class. I was then pulled into the principal's office. I'm not really sure why. Should I go back into her office, what should I do?

I have to fill up 3 more credit hours (I will be a Sr. and I just need to take credit classes b/c I have all my majors.) I go to a smaller university and there are limited classes to take. I was thinking about music appreciation but I know nothing about music. I don't know how to read music either. What cirriculum is a standard (intro) music appreciation class?

The dictionary definition doesn't cut it. I see this word all the time and I have no idea what it really means. Case in point: today's news says this: "Matthew Dowd, a polling expert who switched parties to become a Republican and served as a senior strategist in Bush's 2000 presidential campaign, told The New York Times in an interview on Sunday that Bush must face up to Americans' growing **disillusionment** with the war."

What does it mean?

I've taught English and writing in a four-year university for five years, but it's a tech-oriented school, and the admin cares so little about humanities, we don't even have a copy machine. I want to apply to a private high school with high academic standards. What do I do? (I have a Ph.D. and I'm a published writer). I can also do extra-curricular stuff ranging from sports coaching to photography if need be.
