I recently graduated with a BA in poli sci and have decided to pursue a career as a high school principal and eventually superintendent of a school district. I live in New York and while starting out as a teacher is the logical choice, with the degree I have chosen I would have to jump through many hoops in order to receive teacher certification. I was wondering if there was another route I could go.

for an equation like this. I already know the answer but have a question

7x-4y=-10
4y=x-2

why do you change the second equation to -x+4y=-2?

I dont get why the x is negative!!! thats all i dont get!

Although, I'm not English; my love of correct grammar and punctuation is worrying for some. I try to learn the proper way and often been told I'm old fashioned in some ways. I try to stick to rules but some people say language is evolving at a rapid speed and I need to relax a bit by not sticking to old ways.

Anyone knows where I could go to test my 6 1/2 (Year 2) son test for IQ?
He is bilingual (French/English) born in England and has some serious difficulties at school with his reading/writing... I know he is still very young but I am aware of his difficulties academicaly. Any thoughts?
