Education & Reference - 19 March 2007

I hear a lot that colleges and universities indoctrinate the students with liberal ideology, because of the liberal professors. I just graduated from college, and very few of my professors ever talked about their politics, unless it was a class about the subject. I did get the feeling a lot of them were liberal, but I never felt like they were trying to change my point of view. I was just wondering what other people thought?

I need a topic for a history paper that I'm writing. I have to look at the time period of approx 1850-1950 and include two or more regions of the world. I am creating a lesson plan on rhetoric to show that how you use language to express yourself is as important (if not more) than your specific message.

I am using "I Have a Dream" because it is a masterpiece of rhetoric.

I am looking for either
1.) a parody speech, using the same powerful structure on a more inane topic (have a dream of no homework, I have a broccoli etc.) or
2.) a writing that expresses the same views but by using more bland, non-powerful language.

If you have any such thing, I would greatly appreciate it.
