The market by my home sells them for $0.50 each, so that would make it $6 if all 12 were bought separately...

Since this is word play and the word "cost" can mean different things. Since you are trying to be funny and the catagory is "word play" then the answer is they cost exactly the same whether sold individually or in a 12 pack. Everyone will think the cost to the customer... but the cost to the seller is identical. $2.99 is the selling price... we don't know what the real cost of a 12 pack is but the net cost per can to the merchant does not change whether sold individually or in bulk.

$2.ninety 9 for a %. of 12 (ignoring tax no longer already added - in oz., GST must be blanketed in the marketed cost) So the can will fee you $2-ninety 9 (or $3-00 finding on no matter in the experience that your forex nonetheless makes use of a million cent products) on the grounds which you are able to purchase the %./case/carton/field - besides the fact which you % to call it - to get the can !!! If that's no longer what you theory you have been rather asking, see a number of the different solutions to get the contributory fee of each and every can $3.00/12 = 25cents for all the 1st 11 cans and the two 24 or 25 cents for the main suitable can, finding on which more suitable u . s . you reside in

2.99 / 12 = 0.249166

so most likely the cost would be .25 per can

shops often put the price up for individual items though, so it could be more (heh heh)
