How hard is it to get into Stanford? What is the school "known" for? I need to know all about Stanford U. I'm not going to college for a few years, but I feel that I need to start looking into what I need to do.

i am taking the SAT on June 2 of this year. i believe that my weakest categories in order will be math, then writing, and then critical reading.

are there any sites where i can freshen up my skills? i haven't taken a math class in two years..... i had about a 97 average each year, but the teachers were extremely cruel and i couldn't bear another year with them....

and she wants to live in the dorm? We live 30 miles from the campus and I don't like the idea of her living on her own at 17. She has never been allowed to date, have a boyfriend, ride in cars with teenage drivers, etc. As her mother I understand that I have the right to make her live at home for the first year but she is so mad at me. I feel as though I would be throwing a rabbit to a pack of wolves. What are your thoughts on this?

This year is a critical year for me; I'm having the GCE 'O' Levels (I'm Singaporean). However, I'm also very involved in the debate team. This year will be the final year for my team to prove ourselves worthy and so far we have been faring quite okay. The only thing is, my parents (especially my mom) are unhappy with the hours I put into debate and others besides my studies. The main problem also is, I don't want to really learn in school. I want to go into the arts when I grow up. You know, big, bright lights, camera, action and all that jazz? I love film. But I'm also confused. What should I do?
