Tonight write down what the photos have in common
(compare) and what is different between them(contrast). Reduce these to single sentences and
write these sentences on note cards. Read and re-
read what you have written so you will be familiar
with your presentation. Get a good night's sleep,
eat a good breakfast in the morning and tell your-
self you will do fine. Hint: Everyone else will be
nervous too. Good luck!

First of all, you are going to want to have an organizational pattern in mind that you follow. Since you are comparing and contrasting, that is your basic objective, and it could be your structure--first main body point would include all your comparisons, and the second would contain all your contrasts. However, you could also pick other areas to examine (subject matter, lighting, black and white vs. color, etc.) and then compare and contrast within those areas. The best advice I can give you is to state your thesis clearly and adhere to it consistently throughout the examination. Clarity is a beautiful quality in all aspects of education, regardless of the subject matter.

Well, let's see. It would be nice if you would explain what the photos are of, but I can give you a bit of help.

Okay; let's say that the photos are comparing two different events. I would find information about those photos, and explain what it is that's going on. Maybe even set the date, or explain what it is that makes them different- maybe they were taken at different times, or something differently is going on in them.

You should also explain what it is that's going on in the photo.

Hope that helps! ^_^ If not, e-mail me!

Take a deep breath. Speak slowly and clearly. Avoid saying things like "and uh..."
Do you have the photos now or will you see them for the first time at the exam?
