I need activities, like shopping or surfing, foods, and mean things, like steal a scarf. And if you could, could you put in adjectives? Like sloppy spaghetti instead of just spaghetti? Or just posting adjectives would be good, too. Thanks, people!!!

I am a light sleeper, and I have tried to get used to people talking or typing when I am sleeping, but I can't. The people on my floor yell and run up and down the hall. I have a fan that I put on high, but it can't drown them out. I tried earplugs too but for some reason they hurt my ears....

My school told me to never write on the back of a sheet of paper instead I have to get a new one.I don't think that is a smart thing to do.I think I should just write on the back of a sheet of paper rather than wasting a new one.I feel like they should just let me right on the back.Plus why are schools so picky?

well, I have a friend who has been studying at NUS, the best university in my place. She knows the concept and principle, but at the time of her assignment, she always failed what she supposed to answers. And the end, She failed and failed.!!! I ask her for reason of failure. She said she doesn't know how to apply but she know the concepts.
She told me that she want to quit. I felt she is going to give up. She just enter the school for 6 months, she still long journey to travel but she want to quit. As her best friends, I don't how to argue her become more confident in studying. I have used a lot of method to teach and tell her based on the experienced that I got. But .....It won't help. This is the terrible condition that i have seen since her studied. In high school and elementary school, she is the top 3 student, but now she is the top 3 failure in that course. So, I need you guys give some idea or the strategy to study. Help!!!

How did each of the following have an effect on the American worker during the second Industrial revolution (1865-early 1900s)? (I put my own answers following the topic, and so please feel free to correct or improve me on any point; thank you! I appreciate any info or suggestion, really, I do :)

1. Technological changes:
-advanced technogoly/ machinery means less of a need for workers.

2. immigration:
-an in crease in immigrants reduced worker's pay and took jobs away.

3. Labor Unions:
-labor unions contributed to the rise against trusts and the demand/ acknowledgment of the need for skilled workers.

4. Government Action:
- the federal government made and passed laws affecting the work force in America mainly through immigration laws. (?)

Once again, any criticism/suggestion helps. Thanks!

I was thinking of applying to American as well as Canadian graduate schools in order to do a Master's degree in English literature. Not sure if US grad schools accept Canadian applicants equally or favor US citizens. Can anyone offer some info on this? I dont want to waste money and time on applying for nothing to the USA. : )

I'm a junior this year and I'm really nervous because I'm taking the SAT in May. I've been prepping myself for almost two weeks(about more than a month to go!) now. I was wondering if based upon what you're about to know about me would you be able to predict my score...

4.0 GPA, rank: 18/549.
Good reading comprehension, vocab is good
Dislikes math, but does really well in math classes
Capable of learning independently
Learns quickly, quite motivated
Works hard

What are the changes of me scoring a 2000 or higher on the SAT and if there are no chances at all, what should i do to achieve this score?

so, i received this call from the CA and he told me that I owed 17,332.00 for student loans from 2006 and that they were going to take my taxes (which I already got back, hah!) my problem with this is that my loans all originated in 2001 (when i started college) and they were in my mothers name. i called her to ask her if she knew anything about it, and she said that even if they WERE my loans, that there was no way they would equal 17,000 (even with added fees).... i called the CA back and asked for them to find out if they were my original loans, and when they had been put into my name (rather than my mothers). she told me that she still pays on my student loans monthly.... they have no idea and claim that i must have "other student loans i didn't know about". has anyone been through this?

It seems like there's a growing misuse of the phrase "real good" by many Americans, even those on television. I've been hearing a lot of individuals, both on tv and real life, use the phrase "real good" like in these sentences:

"I'm not feeling 'real good' today"

"That horror movie scared those kids 'real good'"

"He's a good quarterback because he can throw the ball 'real good'"

"When cooking spaghetti sauce, you have stir the pot 'real good' like this."
