i have 2 quotes to pick from as the closing sentence for my famous person report on Mary Shelley here they are:

"We are tomorrow's past" and.....

"Be men, or be more than men. be steady to your purposes and firm as a rock. This ice is not made up as such stuff as your hearts may be; it is mutable and cannot withstand you if you say it shall not."

in my opinion, i like the second one because it seems to have more meaning to it. but it's really long while the other is short and simple with no meaning really. i will be saying the quote orally in my speech and i have no problem memorizing the 2nd one at alll if anyone has any more quotes from mary shelley, i'lll gladly take them thanx

i have a question if you guys could help me out how can i figure out how much something is worth when is on percentage. Like at the store if something is worth 30dollars and is on 40% off how much would it be.? can you guys tell me the formula or how to figure it out. if we multyply .40 and 30 it gives you 12 but that aint the price is too low is lesser than 50 % off?

When you describe a house/flat...

Are the following statements correct?

"There is one bathroom" "There is one bedroom"

I know that it's better to say "There's a bathroom" but is it correct if after those statements you follow by "There are two living rooms..." etc.?

Does a good university mean better tution?

I wanted to go to Oxford and Cambridge.

Are they really better than the other universities?

Do they have better tution?

Or are all the universities the same?

The question says

"Remove the common factors, then factor using a difference of squares"


1. 8a(squared) -50


2. 50y(squared) -72

Could someone please help me with these.
Show me the answer step through step and try and make it as simple as possible so I'll be ready for my test.

I feel that nowadays in schools, an inordinate amount of time is spent going over past papers in the hope of predicting what will come up in that particular years exam. There is very little practical work or learning by discovery. Surely this is the antithesis of education in the true sense of the word. Does anyone have any thoughts or feelings on this?
