that they were supposed to destroy or get rid of something but they were not able to do it so they asked somebody else to do it for them

The guy is saying he was supposed to ruin someone and didn't. When he had bad reasons he asked you to finish the destuction for him, but now that he has good reasons, he is asking you again.

I was unable to destroy him like I was supposed to. At one point, when my intentions were bad, I asked you do it for me. Now, I am asking you to do the same thing again, but this time, my intentions are good.
