if we learn it at school why do we learn it at home?

practice makes perfect... the more you use a subject, the more you understand it and the easier it becomes... Also, it's good practice for the outside world when you get a job... You'll find you'll be working plenty of extra hours then...

Well in school you learn, at home you do the homework to practice the skills you learned in the classroom and get better at what you have to do.

thats excatly what i have been thinking!! i mean we go to school for 7 hours,and do work for 6 and a half of those hours then we come home and do 3 to 4 hours of homework.! and half of that stuff we wont even use in the real world. and yes the teachers say that but we wont!

Think of it this way - if you play piano, you don't just play while you're at your lesson, you have to practice a certain amount of time outside of class in order to learn. If you play football, you don't just play during games. You have to practice to get better at anything. The more pratice you have, the better you get. That is what homework is.

its so you actually bother to retain the information and dont have to turn Yahoo answers into Yahoo do my homework for me. you learn it at school, you practice and retain at home. make sense? good. cause thats the answer. just do it, like nike.

It test your ability to recount the information you learned in class. Test to see if you actually learned anything in class basically.

As much as I hate school, I think you should know...they want us to refresh our minds & remember things.It sucks!!!
