I have to:
Identify the conic (line , parabola , ellipse , circle , or hyperbola) , rewrite the equation in graphing form , name the center (or vertex) , and graph.

I understand how to graph them. Just not how to change a few of them to graphing form..

2) 6xSQUARED + 6ySQUARED=162

3) (y-4)SQUARED=9(x-4)

8) 5xSQUARED+y+40x+80=0

9) y= -1/2xSQUARED +5x-27/2

Can anyone help ?

The anti-Vietnam war movement in whole affected many aspects if American life. It poorly changed the way that people viewed their government and it was the cause of many social issues in the U.S.; it also took American culture for a spin and affected the way that people will protest forever.

This was the first time I ever did any thing like this so the principle took it easy on me. Will this go on my permanent record and if it does will it follow me to high school. Could colleges find out. There was a policeman there but didnt take my finger prints will I be on the police record. So if I wanted to be a Dr. Will the medical school see this if they check my police record even if the police didnt take my fingerprints

I am very new to the forum and I was hoping someone could help me. I am at a loss on how to get my Teen Daughter to take pride in her work and work to the best of her ability. She seems to give the minumum effort to her projects and it is a huge frustration to myself and the other moms in our Home School co-op. I know she can do the work, I have seen good things every once in a while. But if it is something she doesn't particularly like she won't give it any effort at all. In the real world and closer yet, it college, she will be asked to do projects and reports on themes she doesn't particularly like. I feel it is important for her to understand that she needs to give her best effort in all circumstances.
Any help would be appreciated!

I am a freshman in college going for elementary educ, but I'm not sure I want to anymore. I am so confused and I do not know what job I would like or what job I should try for. I've been working as a teacher merely for five months and I still find it hard to discipline some children. I tell them to be quiet and while this works for a while, within a few minutes everything gets back as it was. Do you believe that it's too soon for me to achieve that, given the fact that I'm too young to be obeyed - being 24 I'm just ten years older than them. In younger classes -ages ranging between 7 and 12- I don't have that problem. What do you think I should do? Should I be feared in order to have them under control?

So i'm 20, and thus far in life I have been academically suspended from a university, and now I need a new start. I'm going to a community college to make up some credits, and if i pass them all I can go back to the previous university its so small and highs chool like. The thing is I don't want to go back there, nor do i want to spend another 3 years in college...i'm about 2 years from graduating, and could finish sooner with summer school! I'm considering the military to serve my country while start over, but i know once i do that there is no turning back for four years! any advice?

I am writing a short monologue on a person who chooses not to believe in any religion, but its back in when religion was not an option, in greece in like 300 BCE How can it improve, what can I add?

Why do we act this way? Us humans, worshiping immortals and changing our ways to please them. Should I believe this nonsense? To be dragged around by this religion! Its unbelievable. I don’t have control of my actions or even my way of life. When I do something wrong why does that cause the gods to punish me or make me ill? Why don’t other Athenians feel this way? It’s absurd! I want to and I will be able to run my own life, so I will rebel! Against all the believers and their troubled minds! Show them that no longer should we be slaves to these gods. Pushed around by a fake idea… disgusting. As a child belief was so simple, it explained life to me. Everyone needs their minds to grow up just as their bodies. Grow up as I have, with a new understanding.

I have never been prejudice before and just today, I've had feeling come thru me that are horrible. I'm a 35-year-old single mother of two, I'm a Veteran, and I'm employed full time. Therefore, I want to go back to school to get my bachelor degree in Human Services. I've applied to the school, I'm ready for classes and I'm looking for scholarships or grants on the FAFSA website. I plug in all my data about myself from my sexuality to my hobbies, I get 223 pages of scholarships, and I'm like wow! my homework says 'Find all the square roots of the number or write no square roots'

Number 26 is the problem -25 . That's all it says.
Now I'm not asking for the answer.

If the problem is -25 is the answer 'no solution'?

I'm not sure so that's why I'm asking. I -think- it's no solution. I think so because the square root of -25 on my calculator says 'DOMAIN error'.

And when I divided -25 by 5, I got -5 right? But it wouldn't work because -5 * -5 equals a positive 25, not negative (like it's suppose to be) And since on my calculator, it said DOMAIN error when i typed in the square root of -25, in other words that means there's no square roots right?

I tried to explain the best way I could.

I hope someone can help.
