I have been playing the piano since 1st grade, I am in 8th right now. I want to go to a private high school that specializes in music. I live in IL, but would be willing to go to a music boarding school in a state nearby. I am hoping to one day get accepted into Juliard. A music high school would help me a lot I think.

If anyone knows of a high school, or has attended a music high school please tell me about it. Thanks

Applying to graduate school?

I want to get a MA in English Literature, but I have no idea what to do a thesis on. I have on real areas of interest that could classify as "original research", I just enjoy reading and writing about literature (especially Shakespeare). So is there an exercise I can do to help me figure out what a good thesis topic would be?

Teenagers, home schooling, and schools?

Do you think that teenagers have the right to say if they want to attend school (i.e. public, private, charter) or be home schooled. They are old enough to say what they want and what makes them happy. Shouldn't that mean they should have a say in how they want to be educated?
I know that the final decision is up to the parent but I just wanted to know what you all thought of that.

Why do Teacher's get so much disrespect?

I would really love to be a Teacher when I get older. I am very confused on why there is so many people out there that are totally disrespectful to teacher's who are teaching their children. And to all of those people who say that teacher's are poor. There are a lot of jobs out there that make way less than a teacher that have a college education. Who all thinks that teachers get no respect at all?
