LOVED the Christmas Carols, Noel, etc. My parents were into the big band era so I grew up with more adult music like Duke Ellington, Sarah Vaughn, Ella Fitzgerald, Billie Holliday and Count Basie, Joe Williams etc. so I was into that music too, at a very early age. Kindergarten through third grade? Lemme see...by third grade we had a TV, so it was "It's HOWDY DOODY TIME!"...LOL Then Dinah Shore, Patti Page and Perry Como. Oh yeah, I remember really liking the songs from Showboat!

Sotweed. Or as we would call it, tobacco. Great amusing novel written about this period some years ago called "The Sotweed Factor" (title means, a guy who grows and sells tobacco)
