Hi there,

I am trying to find some scholarship programs that would allow for students with good grades or low income High School students to travel overseas for the summer, weather it would be through volunteering or doing some sort of an academic program (i.e. Learning about the history of some country like Italy or France.) I've heard of such programs in the past, where students got to go to another country to study things they have interests in hands on, and for free, but I've been unsuccessful in finding them online. Does anyone knows any or perhaps has done any of these types of programs? Thank you.

My friends and I have an ongoing debate.

Which phrase is grammatically correct?

Should it be:

"NO I am Anna Nicole's Baby Daddy!"

or

"NO I am Anna Nicole's Baby's Daddy!"

There is a preschooler (5yrs old) where I volunteer at that bosses everybody around. He loves telling his classmates and even the teachers what to do. For example, if he is playing with a friend at the block center, he would tell him to do this and do that and he would actually control the conversation between them two. I am noticing this from him too often in different types of situations. Can anyone suggest effective approaches for this type of behavior?

Yes, I know that's an odd question but, 18 years ago when I was in high school we didn't do things like this. I have a simple 11 page jounral article and am required to summarize it, then provide my own analysis. The analysis part is easy but, I'm concerned that two pages double-spaced in MS Word in too long for an acceptable summary. I don't expect anyone to summarize the article for me..specially since you don't know what it's on. My question is simple. For a college Psych class, in your experience, is 2 double-spaced pages too much for a summary? My professor hates unneccesarily long papers but, if I can justify the lenght then it's fine. My problem is that no minimum or maximum word count was assigned. I am happy with the basic content of my paper but, if it's too long it could mean the difference between an "A" or a "B".

Any ideas or should I just stop second guessing myself and turn the thing in?

The young, hopeful, but not too bright graduate student asked the university president how much it would cost for the best education money can buy.

After some thought, a phone call to the admissions office, and a consultation with his top professors, the university president said, "It will cost about $30,000 for a PhD."

"$30,000 for a PhD, $30,000 for a PhD," hollered the young, hopeful, but not too bright graduate student. "For $30,000...I would want at least a PhD+ ".

I really want to get a California high school teaching credential (so much so that I've already taken the CBEST and am preparing for the CSET), but I can't quit my full-time job to go back to school. I just attended a teaching credential information meeting at the local college and they said it's impossible to get a credential while working full-time. Is there no way to do it with night or weekend classes? What if I could devote one weekday each week? Still impossible?
