your teacher gies you the following directions: choose any intege. multiply it by negavite four. add ten. divide your answer by two. add triple your original number. subtract 12 from your answer. add negative 10. then add 32. your teacher then asks you for your final number. you reply 18, and the teacher says, your integer was 3, how did the teeacher know your original number??..........help!!! please!!!

My teacher gave us an assignment that we are to figure out what rhetorical device was used in this particular sentence. I cannot figure it out and have been reading up on multiple websites about rhetorical devices with no avail. Can anybody help me on this please?
