I always thought you got one in Fall semester and another in Spring.

I am at Northwest Missouri State University, and checks are available upon pick-up of your books...same day. Your school will cut 1 check once all fees are paid. Talk to your Student Services people if you have further questions

I go to Arkansas State, and my check comes in one big one, they hold out tuition, books, etc. Then I get the excess around the first day of classes

well it depend when you applied for stafford loan and what state you are apply to, like for instance, from michigan, apply, it take two weeks for check to come to mail after paying for class, tutions and books.
