HELP! I am doign a project, and am SWAMPED with millions and tons on homework. I've been looking up "Aluminum Salts," ever since I got home, and I still have to finsih a Civil War project. Does anyone know how this salt works in the easing of stomach digestion? I don't wanna make myself look like a slacker... and I am trying to find it now. Even a website would help. Thanks!!!!

Antacids containing magnesium salts are potent, but do not provide long-term relief. They're better than the aluminum salt antacids at neutralizing acid, but don't work as well as the calcium carbonate or sodium bicarbonate antacids.
Just as with aluminum salt antacids, people with renal failure or renal insufficiency should not use magnesium salt antacids either. Life-threatening problems can occur if excessive levels of magnesium find their way into your body.
The most common side effect associated with magnesium salts is diarrhea. Don't use these antacids if you suffer chronic diarrhea due to such illnesses as colitis or Crohn's disease. For this reason, some antacids combine aluminum salts with magnesium salts to avoid this unwanted side effect.
