I assume you're talking about US and also assume you came to the US not too long ago.
Well in USA, the term "college" is a whole lot different than other countries (i know its different than Asia). If i'm correct, college in Asia means community college where you only take 2 years of schooling. In the USA, college includes everything, from 2 years schooling, to TOP university such as Harvard.
Colleges are separated into Private and Public with the prestigious school predominantly in the Private school. Harvard, Yale, Stanford are private colleges.
So that should clear up any misunderstanding.
As for recommendation, I say Johns Hopkins University. Very good premed program with tons of research opportunity (medical schools LOVE researcher).
Personally, I'll be attending Johns Hopkins next fall, and I also hope to become a doctor or surgeon one day.

Virtually any school that 's accredited. If you want prestigious go to an Ivy League school like Harvard or Stanford. Or you can just go to a state university.

Errr... you're not talking about the US are you?
Cuz in the US, universities are either public (state run) or private schools. And it doesn't matter really which one you choose, so long as it's prestigious (just pick one from the list at http://www.usnews.com/usnews/edu/college/rankings/brief/t1natudoc_brief.php )

What area of the country. In VA, there are William and Mary and UVA to begin with. My daughter went to W & M for undergrad, med school at UVA and is now at Cornell in NYC with a fellowship next year at Yale. Not bad, huh?
