My friend is always on the honor roll. Last year she got 5 A's and 3 high B's. She was devasted at the B's (even though I told her its the percent that counts). This term she is pushing herself so hard! Will she crash and burn?

Of course you can. If getting good marks is all that matters to her and not meeting those expectations devastates her and causes depression then yes she is pushing heself too much. Anytime an action becomes something that dominates your daily life and failure devastates it then there is a problem. Your friend really needs to talk to someone to talk to her and needs support to realize that she is not a failure if she dosnt get great grades. She needs to understand thet doing her best is good enough

yes, you can push yourself too hard... and yes, she may crash and burn... she needs to rearrange her priorities... she needs to be softer on herself... she needs to have time to socialize and relax... try to help her, she does need help...

well i know how she feels because that has happened to me too. just tell her to do her best not the best. because that just puts on too much pressure and stress on yourself.
