I really like the idea of being able to express myself in more ways. People say reading helps, and I read alot of books that not just for that reason, but because I enjoy it. I read books that many people find difficult, but I really don't notice much difference. And looking things up in a dictionary all the time can be a pain, but I usually look up any words I'm unfamiliar with. I try, but I was wondering if anyone has any other ideas?

Help with a word problem?
During rush hour, Fernando can drive 40 miles using the side roads in the same time that it takes to travel 30 miles on the freeway. If Fernando's rate on the side roads is 7mi/h faster than his rate on the freeway, find his rate on the side roads.

I know that you can set the problem up like this

(40/(x+7)=30/x

but I do not know what to do from here please help

I am returning to school to get my associates and then my bacholers with plans on becoming a teacher. To ease the costs of this transition from full-time work to not working and going to school a friend suggested student loans.

I understand that these loans are typically not repaid until after school is finished - but what else? How much is usually borrowed? What about the interest rates? Are these intended to make up for a lack of income while going to school?

I'm very interested in hearing from people who have used student loans, and would appreciate any suggestions about where to look for a loan.

Hello Friends, I am a USA citizen and am a Californian tax payer. However, I have sent my son (Also a USA citizen) to India for past 2 years to finish his high school. He will be finishing his 12 th grade in a year. I want him to go to a college in California. Will he be considered as a Californian resident? I am asking this question because in many schools (we are interested in Berkeley) the fees structures are different for residents and non residents of California. Since I am living in California and paying my taxes will my dependent son be treated as a Californian resident also?

I'm helping my friend's son, a 7 year old boy, with his studies, but I'm not sure how to go about doing it. He can't read many words yet, so he is unable to do his school work well. How do I teach him to read? I have no knowledge on phonics too.

Also, he often writes 'mirror images' of alphabets and numbers; how do i teach him to remember?

Any teachers with good advice?
