Education & Reference - 28 January 2007

i need help. i need to put 5 items in. 2 of which are not mine. one has to be a national item [like the american flag, but i cant use that] and a global /world item [ex. a flu vaccine] but i cant come up with any ideas for both. the national one needs to be for the USA.
do you guys have any ideas and then like 1 or 2 reasons why i should put it in there? i can put anything in it, even a ferris wheel or space ship.

What is your opinion about plagiarism?

The fact that one can think for themselves especially about in depth knowledge of specific subjects.
And then writing your ideas down in an assignment during your higher education years is an abomination. This is the view of many university markers.
I have observed situations where a student had on the spot theorised about specific things with only basic exposure to the information.
Through elaboration of the basic content the student was able to infer additional data.
Wow ... isnt that amazing someone can actually think things through themsleves... well ... that just ... unheard of. At least thats what the general opinon seems to be in the uni environment.
The fact is that some people after learning the basics can make things up without coming across the same information of another. It is possible that two or; do i dare say it, more , can have the same ideas.. tell me your story

A title for my bridge project...?

we are building a bridge for physics class. please help me think up of a title. honestly, i am out of ideas and my brain has gone to mush trying to think of a creative title. please help or else i am going to name it "My Paradox" because i can't think of anything else. is paradox even a good word to use for this?

anyway, for our project, we build a bridge and we bring it in to class and there is this competition to see whose can hold the most weight. so something along the lines of that for my title.

Should I take the risk of paying for out of state tuition for college? or should i stay in state?

my dream is to go to school and live in new york city, there are soo many opportunities there, i love the enviornment, however my dad wants me to stay instate for college (in virginia) since most of my tuition is paid for. should I go for it, and go to college in nyc and take out student loans or should i stay in virginia?? any advice!?
