Most sex linked traits are passed from mother to ______.

Is it son? If not, what is it? And why?

Son.

It's son because many sex-linked traits are recessive, on the X-chromosome, and not that common in the general population.

The son gets X from his mother and Y from his father. So an X-linked trait is on the X from his mother, and he doesn't get a "second opinion" X from the father like daughters would.
