smokey the bear is atop a 100-foot tower, looking out over a fairly level area for careless people who might start fires
suddenly, he sees a fire starting. He marks down the direction of the but he also needs to know how far away from the tower the fire is.
To out this distance, smokey grabs a protractor, since he is high up on top of the tower, he has to look slighty downward toward the fire. He finds that his line of sight to the fire is at an angle of 6 degrees below horizontal.
i want to find out how far smokey is from the fire.

I have an BA in Marketing, but I am thinking about pursuing an MFA in producing films, but I really don't want to have to go to through another 4 years. I live in the states and we were taught in school the spelling of certain words, like:

Color, labor, honor,

I've noticed that in most other countries there is a "u" added:

Colour, labour, honour,

Lately I've even seen americans spelling them with the u. What is the proper spelling, and where did the U come from? Or was it there first?

Hello... Well, I plan to study at the USA, I am from South America. The college I want to go to asked me to do the TOEFL. And like I am only 17, and by the time I go there (to college i will still be 17) they need me to show that I have the same knowledge as a person who graduated from high school there.
Would someonme please help me know what I am dealing with here. I have heard, that in Elementary school as well as in high school WE are more advanced than the people from the USA. (I am not trying to offend you...) so please answer my question..

This is a hypothetical experiment that I have to write a lab report on.

I have to design an experiment to solve the problem: You have a mixture of sand, water, and gravel. How do you separate this mixture into different parts?

I need to know what I should put in the chart. I hypothesized that the water will be separated when it is heated. After all of the water is gone, the sand will be separated after it is strained from the gravel. So I would do that for the procedure. I just don't know what I should put in the chart. Like what information should go in there?

Please help, I really appreciate it...If you need some more information or for any other reason pertaining to this question, feel free to email me...I just need some answers, please!!!
