Has anyone ever been home schooled before? I am going to start this monday and I just wanna know what I am in for. Is it more difficult? Compared to regular high school is it better?

If you customize your learning the way you want and what you learn, it should be more enjoyable and if you like it, it should not be too hard.

I was able to adjust what I learned and how I learned it and I liked it a lot. I chose to do my two biggest classes at the community collage, which is worth (I think) double credits, so I was also able to kick-up the speed and graduate high school a year early. I also studied subjects that I liked.

I have noticed that some people like homeschooling and others don’t. It is important that you have good support and people that will help and encourage you to do what is required for whatever you have a goal for and what is of interest to you. People like doing what interests them, so try to customize your learning so that you study things you like.

There are homeschooling organizations all around that are a good source for ideas on things to do that will help homeschooling be easier and more enjoyable.

In my opinion, homeschooling is not too hard, I really cant judge fairly though because I never went to public school in high school.

My family is big into homeschooling. If you have any questions feel free to email me, and I’ll try to help if I can.

It depends on the person. After two years of high school, I was homeschooled, and I liked it. Yes, it can be more difficult, but a lot of times you are able to write to, email, or call your teachers for help. I preferred homeschooling more, but I was able to finish before I would have graduated. Also, if you are motivated to learn on your own, then it can be better. You don't have to sit in a classroom all day long, and then drag through homework when you get home.

It will be IMPOSSIBLE to tell you if it'll be more difficult or even what it will be like for you. It depends on your attitude, your willingness, your motivation, what your parents have you do, if you're doing some sort of online or independent study program...

And each person is different. Some have done both homeschooling and public school for high school and prefer homeschooling; others prefer public school. There's no one model that fits every person.

Homeschooling is great. I've been homeschooled all my life though, so for me its all I've known. Its not difficult because you can set your own pace. I do school all year round and move up a grade every January (sometimes earlier). You should set goals and try not to get distracted. Being at home can cause you to want to slack off.

I loved homeschooling. You could look at and think it more difficult. I think it is far better than regular high school.

I've been homeschooled for 4 years now and I'm in 11th grade. I love it!!! It's not hard an I can tell you this from experience (i was getting so many strait A's in 8th grade that my mom let me skip ninth and go to 10th) I like it alot better than public school! Now I don't have to deal with so much peer pressure. I hope you like it!

You're asking about it in extreme generalizations.

It's completely dependent on your situation. It probably won't be more difficult; it should be customized for you.

Better is impossible to define. I enjoy being homeschooled more than school. You may hate it. All up to your individual situation.
