There are tons of online graphing programs out there, and it doesn't matter a bit whether you use Windows of Macintosh (or even old-fashioned DOS). One good grapher is EZGraph at http://id.mind.net/~zona/ezGraph/ezGraph.html .

To graph on almost any graphics utility, you need to have your equation in function form (that is, solved to say "y = ...") Also, you invariably use * to means "times" and put the argument of special functions in parentheses. On EZGraph, your functions would be:
y = x
y = 2*SQRT(x)

y = x will give you a diagonal line through the origin. The other function starts at (0,0), goes up steeply to (1,1) (where it intersects the first function), and continues to rise slowly.

if you have an apple computer open the program Grapher from you applications and it can graph anything basically, if you have a pc, good luck!
