i already failed math 97 twice and im now in math 96. im ok at math its just im not much of a studier and i cant learn a whole chapter on monday and test on it wednesday. I also was pretty much embarrassed in front of everybody by taking me in the hallway telling me (loudly) he gave me a D in 101 but i cant take 102 so i might as well leave and after i left my friend told me he told the class this and that they should tell me he wanted his book back.

I'm a sophmore in highschool, and I've looked over my schedule for the remaining two years, and to take the classes I really care about I will have to abandon taking my second foriegn language. By doing this I lose the ability to graduate with honors. I keep hearing how important it is, but is it really necessary (if I can pay for college myself)?

ok my little brother is having a grammar problem and i really want to help him, here is the problem... for his homework he has to find a double constanant for each letter of the alphabet (e.g)
E= seen (the double ee in seen)
B= rabbit (the double bb in rabbit)
O= soon (the double oo in soon)

etc it says in his jotter that there are only 7 constanants that cant do this (e.g)

K K
W W
X X

the problem is we have found 8 and are finding it impossible to narrow it down to 7.

My son is in GT in 4th grade. They received a school report card that gives percentages. It has TAKS test percentages among different races. It also has TAKS failers promoted by grade placement committee. It goes on to list the different races and percentages of those students that failed the test that were promoted The percentages were for reading White 86.8%, hispanic 92.9%, and 100% african american. That was reading TAKS test. And math isn't much different either. The african american was the same. These results were for 2005. My feelings are anger. Even though the white students scored higher than all other races by the percentages. This means that it didn't matter if an african american passed or failed the test they were going to be promoted. I am white by the way. But this is discrimination against whites if I have ever seen it!

I have just been made redundant from my job and have been exploring the idea of teaching english as a foreign language I dont have a degree but some of the tefl sites advise that this is not always necessary as long as you have a recognised tefl certificate does anyone out there have more information regarding this subject? Teaching is something that I truly enjoy doing, but I just want to try something different. I tried changing grade levels by moving from 4th to 8th grade. I like 8th grade better, but I just want to work outside of the classroom for a while. Not to mention, the pay is not that great either...especially considering all that I am required to do. Can anybody help?!?!?
