Education & Reference - 29 December 2006

I took it once before and bombed. I haven't studied in the six months since I took it. Now, my New Year's resolution is to begin studying for the test again, and just thought of studying is giving me anxiety.

Does anyone who has been through this have any input?

I live in Arkansas and go to a decently sized high school. I have a 3.4 GPA with 6 AP classes. On the ACT, my best score was a 28, and I got an 1800 on the SAT. I want to got to Vanderbilt, but that seems to be out of my reach. So my two choice now are Texas or Arkansas university. I don't really want to go to the University of Arkansas, but I will if I can't get into Texas.

Here are my stats:

3.4 GPA - 6 AP classes taken
28 - ACT
1800 - SAT
183 - PSAT

Is that Texas worthy? Even scholorship worthy for Texas?

Okay, some girl I just met looked at me and called me a "skeet". I mean, I looked up the word on urban dictionary, and it said to...release bodily fluids on someone (i.e. semen), but since this is not a noun, that's not what she met. What does the word "skeet" mean when you call someone that?

my 15 year old brother had to compare two love poems over christmas break. before that they were studying love in literature, and after they're going to read romeo and juliet for the bazillionth time. nobody but english majors should have to go through this, escpecially not a bunch of 14- and 15-year old boys. how evil is that?
