People tend to say, "I could care less" when they mean "It's not important enough to me to even care about"- is that correct? I thought it was "I couldn't care less"... but I've been wrong once or twice... lol

For example, I want to be able to write an awesome essay, but I have trouble with organization. My english professors have all told me that I'm an excellent writer though. So, if an essay asks you to describe why you chose your major and what contribution you're going to make to the world with that choice, is it ok to use "I" statements? I don't want the essay to sound arrogant or conceided. I want it to reflect how I want to help others, but also to show my own personal strengths. This is what the essays asks:

"Why did you choose a medical profession over other educational opportunities? And what contribution will you make to the medical world?"

"How will this scholarship help you meet your educational and professional goals?"

How should I approach this?

I have baby brother and he doesn't really know his Abc's yet,well errrr... He's kind of sloppy at it.
So any ideas?

I just heard of this ( I guess my school didn't teach it). We learned to use a dictionary while reading and look up all the words we didn't comprehend. It makes no sense to guess at meanings, when the writer specifically chose those words to communicate. Why teach kids to guess?

My family live in USA and I am a student nurse. As all my friends are students who have gone home and I shall be in the University dorms alone. Should I get a small turkey and try and cook it. Or can I get a single meal and enjoy it in my room with the TV. Or should I go to the homeless refuge and help out and eat with them later? Decisions decisions lol

I was disguessing a logical fallicy with a another person on here and I wrote that. The first word was edited out. I know that we are only allowed to speak English. But it is a Latin phrase, pretty normal in law and logic. Why would yahoo answers care that I am using a logical argument, and in just that one word?
