Fact is that there are always going to be clicks in highschool just like they are in middle school. Stupid thing is that even tho everyone thinks being popular in school is important, I realized that lesson young.
I WASN'T popular in school because I didn't have the money to buy the right clothes and blah blah blah. Once I got looking like everyone else people tried to be my friend. I realized that none of them were worth my friendship because they didn't want me as a friend before I got new clothes, etc. It's the same way with everyone in school.
I'm 25 years old now and I have the best of friends and only one of them came from highschool. Once I was out of highschool I was treated like an adult and other adults saw me the same way. I never had an issue with being popular out of highschool because there are so many places I go and people that I meet there is no possible way to even measure popularity between them all.
Just be yourself and make friends that way. It will make better friends after your highschool years are up. Now, I have a family, good career and a few of the best friends anyone could have, and it have absolutely nothing to do with the popularity of highschool. Besides, the decisions you make after you get out will change who you are today, therefore - I can't think of a single thing in adult hood that matters based off of popularity... unless you plan on being in politics... hehe.
Good luck - people in highschool are just as cruel as middle school and same with college. The best thing that I can tell you is not to make it harder on other people. Since you've already got popularity and your life doesn't suck like those who are "nerds" I wouldn't do anything to make their lives worse. They don't know it wont matter once they are out of school so they are still expecting popularity to make a difference and they strive for something that isn't going to happen.

Just keep your mouth shut and speak when spoken to.
Get to know people's personalities before you start trying to be one of "the guys."
If you can run fast enough (don't have to be the fastest) or jump high enough or far enough, join the spring track team. Next year join any sports team that will have you. Find an academic club to belong to.
If you have any interest in playing on the HS football team, stay in middle school, so that you can join the freshmen football team (they usually allow everyone on the team that wants to play). If you're not interested in the football team, do what you and your parents think is right.
Choose your friends well, carefully, and interact when opportunity presents itself.
It can be hard to be popular in HS; it just depends on you more than anything.

i just started high school this year and there is nothing to worry about. High School is so big there is no popular or nerd or anything, I think Middle school has more of the drama. Just have your good friends beside you cuz you'll need em.

No not really.......I am in high school now (Senior). When I first came in I was worried about being popular. After a while I just went with the flow of things and was being my self and made lots of friends. So just be yourself and eventually you will make friends and soon be popular. Oh yeah and don't join cliques hang out with everyone and talk to everyone.

bad news popularity is for the beautiful people, and the jocks. only other people who become popular are those who don't even care about being popular. but those that care about being popular just smell of desperation and will never become more then maybe a target of a mean joke for trying.
just the fact that your asking make me believe you want to be popular so more then likely i would recommend to just give it up. I personally didn't hang with that crowd because i saw most of them as shallow and wanted GOOD FRIENDS. I'm just telling you from experiences i went threw.

It's not hard to be popular if you find people that you have things in common with. A small group of close friends is much better than being an acquaintance with everyone else.

There is no way for you to know this now, but high school popularity will mean nothing to you later on in life. Concentrate on God, your family and schoolwork and you will be extremely prepared for what life is going to bring you!
God Bless and Have a Very Merry Christmas!!

It relies upon. in the event that they have been the type who coasted via intense college, did drugs and skipped college/did no longer something yet make out/make exciting of smarter young ones and took low training then yeah. they're what you call "intense college Peakers". even with the undeniable fact that,in the event that they have been the type that studied no longer ordinary and have been common for an certainly activity/skills,or a character trait like being Charismatic/humorous/witty/captivating/great and have been given reliable grades and have been common because of the fact of that, then they gained't have a undertaking.

yes, because freshmen don't know the way the school works and so they just act retarted like the way they did when they went to their old school. And because if your a freshmen your realize the non-freshmen are popular.
