I think there probably are some around. There was a football player with the name William Shakespeare in the 1930's which was hardly what you would call ancient times.

The name has not died out. Just for example John Shakespeare is a well-known Australian cartoonist with the Sydney Morning Herald

A quick people search on Yahoo reveals there are 500 people with Shakespeare as a last name. And that is in the U.S., I am sure there might be more in the UK.

Back in the early 1800's the last remaining family member was killed in a duel. The name came about because people used spears to fight with back in the dark ages. Ignoramus D. Shakespeare thought he could come to a duel with a spear....his opponent had a pistol...get the picture...

Aldof hitler, since what he did in ww2 and the holocaust obviously no one has respect for him. Recently some kid name was Hitler and it was his birthday His mom went to go get the cake. The worker asked her she she wanted them to write something on it . She said just write happy birthday Hitler and the worker refused to do it . so they probably think it bad just to be reminded of him
