from what I have seen, Taks testing, the system, seems very flawed. I live in texas and, live with, around and, work with a bunch of High School graduates, who can barely spell their own name and, dont even ask them to count anything. the way it seems to work is, the teacher either passes a set percentage of students, regardless of their progress or, take a paycut (like they have a lot to cut from) and, start looking for another job. is there any way to get rid of this stupidity before We doom another generation of illetirate graduates ? maybe they could take a step back and, help the last generation with what they were cheated out of.

I'm an international student and I'm now applying to some US colleges. But the problem is that my SAT score slightly falls out of the middle 50% range by 10-40 points for my reach schools( Lehigh, Brandeis, etc) ,which means my score is within the bottom 25%. Now I'm so worried. I know they're reach schools to me after all but can someone please tell me how "risky" I am if my score is not even within the middle 50% for the schools I'm applying to? Does the fact that I'm top 5 % in my school might help a little? Thanks

I see a lot of people on here say that home schoolers are more mature then public/private school kids. Public/private schooled children are so immature. Home schoolers are so much better.

And a while ago someone posted something about how kids are "growing up to fast" and becoming "little adults".

If a home schooled child is 12 years of age and he/she acts more mature then average 12 year olds, then wouldn't that home schooled child be considered a "little adult"?

Is home schooling promoting children to grow up to fast? Become little adults?

In my opinion I think some home schooling parents are trying to teach their children grow up to fast and act like mature little adults. Instead of letting the kid be a kid.

And I'm gonna say this again so people wont get mad, SOME HOME SCHOOLING PARENTS, NOT ALL.
