This is great! PSAT scores for 9th graders are compared to sophomroes who took the test. If you want the SAT equivalent, just add a 0 to each number. 430, 610, and 380. The 430 is terrific for a 9th grader, and the 380 is pretty good in writing for your grade. But the 610 in math is dynamite.

Look at the bottom portion of your PSAT score report. There you'll find suggestions for how you might improve your SAT score. Use the website to practice. At the lower right corner there's a website and your access code to get to some great stuff to also help you prepare.

Just taking the PSAT as a freshman is a courageous thing to do. Good for you! You're well on your way to becoming an excellent college applicant. Keep making these good decisions.

Good luck.

You are a freshman, so your scores will improve a lot. My total score on the SAT that I last took (at the end of my junior year in high school) was about 140 points higher than the total score on the PSAT I took in 10th grade. It will be the same for you, only you'll improve more since you are a freshman.

If the grades are out of 80, your scores are OK. Your math is pretty good, but I would definitely recommend you work on CR and WS. The good news is that you're a freshman, and you still have plenty of time.

Secondly, the best indication of how well you did on your PSAT and SAT isn't the grade itself, it's the percentile you fell into. It should be included in your scores somewhere. Your percentile tells you how you performed compared to other people, which is the part that is more important.

You should talk to your counselor about which minimum percentile you should try to fall into.

Good luck.

ok right this is one element in no way divide an sat score via total through fact it doesnot paintings like that an 1500 is the national consumer-friendly. an 1130 is definately very low yet for a freshman it quite is okay. eed to paintings hard once you're taking the SAT for real yet you ought to be fantastic via the time you're a jr/sr there's no such element as a "failing p.c." additionally, the PSAT isn't substantial, except you're particularly smart, it quite is in basic terms a guage of ways are you in terms of sat and tells you what style of score you will get in case you do no longer learn, via the time you're taking the sat, you will in basic terms get a comparatively bigger score, possibly 1500 on SAT so learn particularly hard, the PSAT did no longer depend yet tthe SAT will definatley depend lots so sstart studing via the summer after sophmore year
