Are there any classes being taught currently that elucidate children to the inter-workings of our governmental systems? Anyone in high school or Junior High familiar with "Checks and Balances" or The 3 Branches of Government.

Absolutely, its taught pretty much all through High School, i have US government this year and its the same old stuff since 9th grade.
And yeah, Judicial, legislative and God i forget the other branch, federal?but they all prevent each other from having too much power or something.

Well, in Virginia, you have to take a full year course in United States and Virginia government in high school. Also, the study of government is integrated into American history class in middle school in the school system I go to. Other counties may have civics class in middle school.

My sister is taking a Civics class in high school right now, so yes. 11 years ago or so, I had a high school class very similar to what you are describing.
