For both the Oct. and Dec. 2006 tests, I got the same score. My math score decreased on the Dec. test and as a result, my Critical Reading and Writing increased. On the Oct. test I got a 710 on the math section and I really like this math score. Does anyone know how the UCs are going to evaluate my scores in this scenario? Will they take the highest individual scores from each test in this case?

Sorry for the long message... I have a tendency of explaining more than what is necessary!

I do not know what to major in colleg. I attend a liberal arts college. I know that I should chose a career that I am passionate about and that money will follow later. As of now I am a Government major. I have changed my mind many time before. From pre-med. to architecture to pre-law to business major. I have taken time out of my life to think and reflect on my weaknesses and strengths. The probably is that I do not feel 100% passionate about a particular thing anymore.I dream BIG and wantto make a lot of money, because I want to give most of it to charity I have spoken to counsilors and what they tell me is to take personality tests, career tests, and makes lists of what I like and do like to do. All this is helpful, but still find myself changing my mind every day. I am 19years old. I know I'm young, but the sooner I organize my thoughts and have specific goals (not a broad goal of graduating from college) the sooner I will be close to being"successful" .

I from a small county in WV died recently and left $500K to the county chapter of the WVU alumni association. The chapter is already well funded and the community is in near ruin. Just for the sake of arguement, do you view this gift as thoughtful or misplaced? My view is that with all the other needs of the community, why throw money into an organization that helps only a few. Only about 1% of kids that go to college ever come back to live there.

i seriously work hard to get good grades in all my classes, but somehow it's not working. i pay attention in class, i do all my homework, i ask questions in class, and i study like hell for tests. in fact i work so hard i'm up till like 11 or 12 studying, and i start as soon as i come home from school. and all my friends are doing better than me! how come i have like D's in my classes even though i'm trying my best?

As I read through the posts here I'm so surprised to see how many people don't believe homeschoolers are socialized.

It seems many picture all of our children locked away inside our homes with books and just us, never permitted to be around others. So the best way to combat this belief is education.

There are so many activities outside the home. There are homeschool groups children attend, play dates, co-ops, field trips & not to mention the church events. Dances aren't important to us.

My daughter has been busy as a bee preparing for the Christmas program at church, she does AWANA on Wednes. for two hours, and chose herself to not do dance lessons or cheerleading because her cup is already so full.

There's a Christian based sports/cheering program called Upwards.

I wanted to let all know there are just as many activities for homeschooled children as public schooled ones. I enjoy the events being under my supervision.
