I can't handle it it's just so difficult...
If a human bodycould convert a candy bar directly into work, how high could an 82-kg man climb a ladderif he were feuled by one bar (1100 kJ)? Also, if the man then jumped off, what will be his speed when he reaches the bottom?
Please tell me what to do or even how to start cuz i'm stuck...

Now that I'm working in the real world, I feel like an idiot for spending so much money to get a degree from an art college. I'm wondering if potential employers will think the same when looking at my resume. It has been 3 years since I graduated and I have good work experience. Maybe I could get away with leaving the degree off my resume...
I've worked my way up in jobs that are related to my degree, but I could've done it without going to art school - my co-workers did.

i can't believe i let it come to this!i have to do 2 months of school work to do by tommarrow morning cause i have to see my teacher at 8 am.that would be 3 chapters in my history book,4-5 chapters in biology 2 units in english plus 5 short stories ,and a 5 paragraph essay for p.e and 9 lessons in algebra!!!!!!!!!!

any idea how i will get it all done in 10 hours ?im pulling an all nighter.i can't concentrate and i have untreated adhd,and i will be seeing my docter on tuesday so no help there.im trying scented oils and lavender.

any advice ?

and has this ever happened to anyone else before?

I realise there are questions asked similar to this, but I am still confused on the subject. It would be extremely helpful if explanations could be explained in-depth, but I could still understand what is being said.

How do equations in the form "y = mx + b" work, where this represents a straight line with slope m and y-intersect b?

Some example questions are listed. Not all of them have to be explained (though it would be appreciated).
1. State the slope and the y-intersect for "y = 3x + 5"
2. Write the equation of each line with the given slope of m = 2 and y-intersect of b = 3.
3. State the slope, y-intersect, and the equation for a line (a line on a graph is given with a right triangle along the line with the hypotenuse on the line, with the endpoints (0,1) and (2,2).
4. Determine the equation of a line (a line on a graph is given with two points, one at (-1,3) and the other at (3,-1).

Okay, this word problem has 4 different solutions. I found the first two, but I cannot figure out how to find the last two solutions. Here is the info:

Bob has investments totaling $11,000 in two accounts. One account is a savings account paying 6% interest and the other is a bond paying 9%. If the annual interest from the two investments was $855:

(and the questions)

1. How much did he have invested at the 6% rate?
A = $4500
2. How much did he have invested at the 9% rate?
A = $6500
3. How much interest did the 6% account earn?
A = ?
4. How much interest did the 9% account earn?
A = ?

Here is my work:

x = 6% investment & y = 9% investment

x + y = 11000
(subtract x from both sides)
y = 11000 - x

.06x + .09y = 855

.06x + .09(11000 - x) = 855
.06x + 990 - .09x = 855
-.03x + 990 = 855
- 990 -990
-.03x = -135
(divide both sides by -.03)
x = 4500

Please help me with the other two! Thanks in advance. ^.~

Irrespective of age or spelling skills, when someones on about suicide can we not be quite so quick to dissmiss or diminish someones pain???

Seriously, what you post can have very real consequences.
I don't care if you want to rip the piss, but have a go at someone who is'nt on the edge.
Some of us that are less abled to understand things or cope with situations really need your support and to be taken seriously.

God forbid one of your comments pushes a kid to far.

I dreamt that I was going home from school. All of the jeep (it's like a bus here in the Philippines) are full so I stood there. Then I saw my bestfriend(guy) sitting on the ground saying "All of them are full". A minute later, I was able to ride a jeep. When I was halfway home, I realized I forgot my bag(white). So I went back riding a cab instead. The scene changed when I was inside a red barrel being pushed by someone until I reached our school...I was able to retrieve my bag (White) then I started to wonder why my bestfriend is not there anymore.

Weird but it started intriguing me...
