Satire is a form of narrative, be it fictive or otherwise, that utilizes humor, irony, sarcasm to deride or make fun of a certain topic. But more than this, it also seeks to present a serious response or offer a solution to the dilemma at hand in the narrative. A good modern day example of satirist would be, surprisingly, Chris Rock. Example; he draws the conclusion that gun control laws are not an answer to problems of crime and gangs in our communities, but rather 'bullet control'. "If you make bullets cost $6000 a piece, there would be no stray bullet killings... I would shoot ya', but it's just so damned EXPENSIVE!"

its a form of sarcasm. its used by authors to mock the folly and vice of men ( our faults)....you see in it a lot of early 1900's writting...when writers were trying to make reforms in society and elimate political corruption.
