I am a first year college student from California. I am pretty sure I want to finish out this year here and then move to Ghana to finish my schooling at the Universtiy of Ghana. My reasoning is that I feel the need to explore, I have grown up in a bubble of ignorance and I want to see new things. I want to get out of America. Africa has always been in my heart, because my sisters are from and are moving back to Africa, and I have always felt a strong connection to the continent. I want to make some kind of difference, and I am also hoping to join the Peace Corps after college. I guess my question is: Is Ghana the place for me, and what huge culture shocks would I encounter? Also, is the University of Ghana a challenging and exciting academic institution?

What are the consequences of suspension for a student?
It’s just a nice vacation without school, or there are bad consequences other than being known as a trouble maker?
The student will miss classes; will those absents be registered and possibly failing the school year(flunking) because of exceeding the maximum number of allowed absents, or those absents would be justified and not registered because he is on suspension?
Getting suspended might get the student in trouble of entering a University or getting a future job?
What other bad consequences might be?

What about expulsion?
It is expulsion just on that year and the student may come back the next year, or is permanent expulsion from that school forever, or possibly maybe from all schools in the State or what?
Will the student get in trouble entering Universities or getting jobs?
What other bad consequences might be?

Why not me? cuz its not in my destiny to ever be chosen. Something bad in my karma must've prevented me from being saved. I sit alone in my cabin, waiting for my end to approach. The water gurgles in the deck beneath me, whispering my mortality for all to hear. I shiver. It's cold in the cabin. The temperature near freezing, embraces me like a lost child newly found. My skin feels numb, I can hardly move. I think back through all my years now rendered meaningless and empty by my demise. A tear escapes and rushes down my cheek. All the regret of forgotten days smites me now, cowing me with their power. The water has started to enter now. I can feel my skin being moistened by the waters caress. I no longer feel so cold. My eyelids feel heavy, but I resist the urge to close my eyes and slumber. I force myself to think on long past happy days, as the water slowly pulls me into its embrace.

I am about get my diploma but in order to get into a state universtiy I would probably have to do a couple more courses and take the SATs over again ( i got a 1400 1st time). So I was thinking of going to a community college but I don't want to stay for a whole year. Is it possible to go to a community college for only a semester and then try to transfer to another school? And while in a community college do I have to take the courses I should be doing now in order to be considered for a state university?or can I just transfer with the hours done at a comm. college?
