Why do some parts of an ocean turn over in the spring and others do not? WHY DO SOME PARTS OF AN OCEAN TURN OVER WHILE OTHERS DO NOT? This is for my science homework and it has something to do with density... HELP!!!:)

Yes it is related to density.
For those ocean that form ice / ice cube during winter, when spring comes, the ice will melt.
Cold water has higher density (water has highest density in 4 degree C)
Thus, the cold water will flow to the bottom of ocean.

At the same time, since spring is coming and the weather has become warmer, the water temp will slightly increase. The water that is warmer will rise to the surface. And this causes the turn over happen

im not v sure but i think in spring as water temp increases the density bcomes less and hence rises 2 the surface while colder water goes down below as its more dense
