LOL!
here is something someone gave me when I felt the way you do:
Smart people ALWAYS find themselves in this situation. The classes move too slow, same in college, same in the real world (work). You need to go the extra mile to make things interesting and keep busy. That's the difference between "smart and bored" and "walks on water".

It's not so much about the math -- although the formulas can be helpful in certain situations if you sew or make things. It's about teaching you to think around corners, and to think about things that aren't so straight-forward.
A lot of people like math because (almost always) there is One Right Answer, and they find that very comforting. Two plus two is always four -- unlike personal relationships where one plus one can be a couple, a fight, or a random encounter.
Hang in there. When you get into the real world, bosses will ask you to jump hoops that seem even stupider -- and you'll have the skills to see it's going somewhere, or it's going nowhere (-:.

you usually get placed in those classes based on how you did on the state tests they do every couple years. so if you missed a lot of classes and that caused you to not know a lot of the info on those tests it probably affected it, or you just didnt take the tests seriously. its nothing to really be depressed about. some people learn differently than others and unfortunately a teacher that is teaching a class of 20+ students is only teaching in one learning style/pace, so others may fall behind. the class you are in now is molded to your learning style so that you can better learn the material. you are still learning what the other kids do in your school but in a different way. it doesnt mean you are stupid.

Trust me, as much as you hate math class, it does kind of help to know at least some of the stuff that they are talking about. I know most of the time you are never going to use the stuff they teach you (trust me), but I guess they want you to have a "well rounded education." Plus, I mean once you get the class done you can forget about everything you learned if you really hate it that much. It'll all get better.

I used to agree with you but I'm in college now and it's really good to know some of the stuff they teach you. I had to do intermediate math because I didn't learn what I needed to in highschool! Keep working at it! You can do it - take it from someone who everyday said she hated math!! (i still do but i can work the problems now!!)

Well, the question is what to do in life. Later on, you'll find out thatm ath is in everything. If you do bussiness or arts or whatever, there's an element of math in it. It might seem hard but really, in math there is no such thing as ambiguity. It's fun.

Math is an incredibly important subject, it stimulates logic thinking and is a precursor for a lot of problem solving. And it was my favorite subject. So it requires a bit of hard work to learn, true. Life requires hard work. And a little bit of maturity.

You will use it everyday in later life( Yeah right). However it is usefully to learn how to use formulas every once in awhile.
