Education & Reference - 9 December 2006

So I basically have to write a paper over Electromagnetic Pulse for Science.

I don't really know much about the subject so if someone could please give me some additional info. from personal knowledge or maybe a good website they found. (I do have wikipedia up for reference, but any other additional sites with very good detailed information) would be very appreciated.

i'd like to know why americans especially newscasters in like cnn read it that way... how can i learn how to read in that way... somebody help me... i was taught to read like one thou. seven hundred not seventeen hundred, or 4 thou 5 hundred instead of saying 45 hundred in my elementary and HS... how about 35000? is it 350 hundred? pls?! help!!!

I can do the normal metric conversions fine, but this one is tricky:

567 m/s = _____ mm/ms (that's millimeters per microsecond- I couldn't type the funky M for micro on my computer).

I think I'll multiply by 10^3 or 10^-3, but I'm not sure which one, or why, exactly. I know that the difference between milli and micro is 10^3 or 10^-3...

Could someone explain this one to me?

I played this game at school 30 years ago, and now need to find a website source that details how to set it up. Put all the players in a circle. The leader hands a sealed envelope to one person, and then whispers something in the ear of the person sitting to their left. That person whispers the same thing to the next person to their left, and so on, all the way around the circle. The last person is the one with the envelope, and after they repeat the whispered phrase, they open the envelope and read the contents, which is the original phrase whispered to the first person...

I need to find more details on this, and similar group communication exercises or activities.
