I can do the normal metric conversions fine, but this one is tricky:

567 m/s = _____ mm/ms (that's millimeters per microsecond- I couldn't type the funky M for micro on my computer).

I think I'll multiply by 10^3 or 10^-3, but I'm not sure which one, or why, exactly. I know that the difference between milli and micro is 10^3 or 10^-3...

Could someone explain this one to me?

THANKS!!

0.567mm/microsecond (by the way, ms is a millisecond, but I guess you could not put Greek "mu" into question). In other words 567 m/s = 567 mm/millisecond = 0.567 mm/microsecond

Since microsecond is even shorter than millisecond, then you'll be able to travel a shorter distance over this shorter period of time)
