Education & Reference - 2 December 2006

I don't know whether to be a teacher (I love English and kids!!!) or to be a web page designer (I can spend hours on the computer). I think I would be good at either. Does anyone know what pays more? Pros and cons? How much college would both take? I just need some help making up my mind. Both have internet courses that I could take for about the first year. I wouldn't have to travel much to go to school for either one and I do qualify for financial aide. Thanks so much for your time.

From what I hear a lot of kids with Learning disabilities who are in special ed or in IEPs end up leaving high school
with a certificate of completion.With that they can not move
on to higher education or even get a half decent job.
Another question is What is being done to bring these LD
kids up to grade level.
In my time you were just passed on without mastering
your math and reading skills.

I am doing a preschool holiday themed project. They go to different stations such as art, phonemics, story, and math. For math i chose a hannukah project, and art is kwanzaa. I need an idea for story which is a christmas theme ( any story book ideas with follow up activity?) and phonemics is the the sound "ick" aand its new years eve. I went to ALOT of schools when I was younger because I moved ALOT! For example, I went to school for a few months, then would move, maybe again for like 6 months and on and on in different states up until the 11th grade.

I found myself in classes in the middle of the year and had no clue on it because I moved around alot, so yes, I dropped out to work instead. But now I want to get a diploma [or atleast a GED] and to go to college once and for all.

Is it worth it trying to salvage any chance for a diploma? Or should I now pursue a GED? I know this nice online resource that gives you and supports you in your quest for a GED, but I wanted to make sure I'd be making the right choice as a diploma is always sen as better than a GED IMO.
