I'm currently looking at a few universities: University of Michigan, NYU, Boston University, and University of Pennsylvania. I'd like to attend a school with an excellent music department, however, I would not like to pigeonhole myself into selecting a school based solely on their music department. I am also looking into business/music business. I was wondering if anyone knew any good schools towards the two fields I am looking at and which one out of those that I am considering so far best suit the criteria. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

I feel silly even posting this, but here's my problem: My 1st-grade son has a lot of friends and has been invited to a lot of birthday parties recently. We have a tiny house and a small budget and cannot afford to take 20-odd kids out for pizza or similar. So when my son turned 7 at the beginning of this month, we told him he could invite 2 friends out for a movie, which he did, and we all had a good time.

But I am getting weird looks from some of the parents of kids who weren't asked, especially those whose kids' parties my son went to. I think they may think they were snubbed, which is not the case! We're just broke and have a small house! Is there any diplomatic way to make things clear without making a bigger problem out of a small one? I had no idea that this kind of thing would become an issue when my son just turned 7!! Has anyone been in a similar situation, and what did you do? Thanks.

I have som much homework and only 4 and a 1/2 days to do it. One project is a spanish calendar we have to label our birthdays and a week of tempratures, also several spanish holidays. Another project is that we have to develop a timeline of the development of ships and design our own ship that will be buoyant. Then i have to draw a map of the U.S clearly showing each of the thirteen colonies, and explaining their resources in one paragraph, then i have to write a book report, an analytical essay about a book i've read (this is different from the book report).
