I have nearly 2 years college already, and I have been out of school for a semester now. I'm 23 years old. I don't have the motivation and courage to finish a degree. I'm still not even majoring in anthing yet, except for General Studies.
Do you have inspiring words for me, Please, I don't want to be a loser.
God bless you.

I guess I like to study Management, but it requires accounting/math which I am no good at.
Then someone told me to look into communications degree. but I hate that writing/literature stuff.

What kind of a degree could I get that I can get a job after graduating, but doesn't require accounting/math. Is marketing good?

Thanks so much, really!

I notice that your Yahoo! name is "dreamer." Maybe this is the problem - you want to accomplish something but you dream about it more than getting down to it.

It's possible that you have some deficiency that can be corrected with medication. Please see a physician and check it out.

If that is not the problem, you may be helped by seeing a college counselor. In the final analysis, however, you will just to have make the decision about a major and get down to work. Sometimes fear of taking the wrong major leads students to be indecisive. Don't worry about this excessively.

Many jobs require a college major but much of the training is on the job - it's the college degree that opens doors.

Much success to you!

You are probably just getting burnt out. take a quarter off and think about what you really want to do in life. Keep in mind that college grads make more money in general then non grads.
you can do it! Don't give up on it yet. It took me about 6 years to graduate with my bachelors degree, because I kept switching majors and stuff like that. If you decide not to do college, don't give up hope, you are not a loser. My husband does not have a college degree and owns his own business.!
Talk to God about it, he may just have an answer for you!
Good luck!

It isn't courage you're lacking but inspiration, clarity and vision?
From where you are thinking now none of these exist.
Get thee to a place where you can get wise points of views that will stir your inspiration, clarity and vision.
I would suggest these books

Ask And It is Given by Abraham & Ester Hicks

Awake the Giant Within by Tony Robbins. He clearly brings you to issues and how to deal with them most inspiringly. Get his tapes if you can.

Meditate and let answer begin to evolve.

Go to Barnes & Noble and get to motivational books. Open to random page See if it answers what you need.

Go to last college you were at and talk to advisor expressing your concerns.

EACH OF your SENTENCES IS stated in the negative!! Turn EACH AROUND,Write and say them out loud in the positive. EACH ONE of them has the strong potential to encourage yourself. 1.I dont want to be a loser. Say instead: (I AM A WINNER. I'M UNSTOPPABLE. I'M ABLE TO DO WHATEVER I CONCEIVE) I don't have the motivation and courage to finish a degree. uh uh Say instead: (I WILL TAKE THE NEXT STEP TO FINISH MY DEGREE. THE NEXT STEP IS (name an action and do it)
GOD IS WITH ME ALL THE WAY.
STOP WHINING START WINNING!!!!.
Well you see what I mean. You finish up each sentence by computer. Do that today from your question.
After you do them all on one page put each on separate page and start the action. The only answer to whining is be still, without wishes or judgement and start and then record results of each action you take. As you get into the habit of reading and acting on the positive you will meet people like yourself to figure into your plans. Choose a book (I suggest first AWAKE THE GIANT WITHIN. Now to begin turning your life and question around (I don't want to be a loser )
ITS OPPOSITE:I AM WINNING AT THIS VERY MOMENT)

Last hint. Watch your words. Every time you put a weak and failing word into your thoughts your faith follows it. So STOP AT THAT MOMENT AND SAY SOMETHING FUNNY LIKE: WHOA! tHROW THAT OUT. (then put a proper word in that feels good- that's your cue - you feel bad you said something bad to yourself. STOP and revise the script until it feels right.

You might consider some aptitude tests to see what your good at and what floats your boat. If college isn't doing it for you maybe a trade school would get you excited. A college degree is no guarantee for a succesful career. You need to find something that you have a passion for.
